newbe a780 right direction to follow

hi people of the world greeting... and excuse my english, sorry to bother some question to ask about state of the art a780.
I got this phone from my brother that get on 2004, he really dont use to much so i do a master rest and put to work on at&t network, since then work fine, but i never thou how power full is this. I Porsche tech and use the BT capability to download racing data and navigation data for development purpose. but wondering if i can get more of this awesome device and linux, find your in the internet...so this is my question.
1. any update to A780 ( is a asian version HK)
2. i saw a lot of thing here but i dont now where to begin, any maps?
3. i try to use this site Digitally Imported - Addictive Electronic Music to listen music but say somthing to cant read file pls.
i got a lot more but i think this is the most important any help would be appreciated
