    Default SD Card Location?

Hey, I just got an A780 today

I am trying to use mobile Gmaps, and it is asking for the location of the SD card for loading cached maps.

I read somewhere that it was E:/

    Any ideas?

Are there any other apps which let you view maps on the a780 offline?

    Thankyou

There is no E:/ in LINUX
The path to the card is mmc/mmca1/
You need a permfile hack to give write access to the card.
Other alternatives are TrekBuddy or BikeAtor.
    Do you have CoPilot installed?

Haha, when I remembered it was a linux phone I though DOH!
I have copilot, but I like the look of the StreetMaps better and it includes cycle tracks.

How do I do a permfile hack? Sorry I'm really new to the a780 scene so you will have to bear with me.

Any help will be greatfully appreciated, I've been working on this for hours

Hi Sam and welcome to motorolafans
You will need much more than hours to see the full potential of your A780!
Here is a little about the permfile hack:
    site:motorolafans.com permfile a780 - Google Search

If you need cycle maps i guess you know OpenCycleMap.org - the OpenStreetMap Cycle Map
I am playing with this in TangoGps on NEO1973 at the moment

Well I didn't edit the permfile, but I did edit the registry file.

Is there a way to get those Cycle Maps onto the A780?

    Thanks

You have to copy the permfile from the snowboard game to the mobile Gmaps directory.
I have not seen a way to have the Cycle maps on the A780
    You're welcome!
