I just bought mine off EBAY [new] for $360, 2 weeks ago. Having seen the price stabilize just below $400, $360 looked good.

I had waited, and watched weekly,almost daily fro 14+ months..

Needless to say the price of a new A780 is now $315 from the same seller I bought from, and other large volume sellers [=reliable]

p1gnone - you said that you were seeing prices in the low $300 range. Only a few weeks later, I am seeing prices in the $275 to $280 range. Is there any reason to believe that there is a problem with these phones with the price apparently dropping so quickly? I am very seriously considering buying one but don't want to get shafted. The main reasons that I like the A780 over the e680 are (1) availability of EDGE data performance, (2) numeric keypad for quick telephone calls, (3) availability of POP3 email capability which I need desperately. I don't have any need for the multi-media stuff. I am not sure I even need the camera but it might be a nice to have (interestingly enough, I saw a situation where I was teaching in a secure facility and they wouldn't even allow cell phones with cameras into the facility). Anyway, just a matter of priorities. Thanks. BUD
