    Default J2ME using USBlan

I't is possible that j2me applications uses the linux usblan to open sockets instead a gprs connection?

I want to comunicate my java application in the a780 with my desktop, without using gprs, but if i try to connect, it open the phone network connection list.

Can I make a hack network configuration that uses the usblan?

    Default Re: J2ME using USBlan

I am not sure about native j2me apps but the native opera is built to only use the gprs conneciton for networking so basicallly user mack developed a fake gprs module that takes the place of the existing gprs module and routes all gprs traffic through.

do a search for "mack connectivity pack".

As far as specific sockets go, I think this has been looked into as well, but I cannot remember offhand where. (keep searching the forum, you might try starting here: http://www.motorolafans.com/index.ph...ght=780+socket )
