Default Broken mini usb socket and more

Is the mini usb the same as the one on the A1200?
cnn.cn only list one for the A1200, but it looks familiar.

    Also
I have dust behind the glass in the screen.
Is it feasible to take apart and clean it or do I have to buy new?

    And
The battery does not seem to charge fully, the indicator only ever get to 2 flashing bars. It used to go to full and stop flashing. Is this the sign to buy a new battery?

    Thanks

Yes, but you need proffesional tools and exerience to change it.

i dont know if the digitizer is changeable, so buy a new if it is too much dust for you

a new battery is never a bad idea

    replacement mini-usb port

    replacement lcd/digitizer combo

you can seperate the digitizer from your LCD to clean it but i wouldn't recomment doing so as you will PROBABLY break it in the process....your better off biting the bullet and purchasing a new combo unit.

Default How much is 72 dollars

What is $72 in UK pounds?

Yes, the mini usb does look tricky. I'm an electronic engineer by trade (although not by profession for some years; now bored in computing! hey!, no bored smiley ) and I've had the phone apart and the soldered joints are very small.
I'm going to have to replace the flex cable anyway (keyboard problem).
My phone will only now charge when turned off and only from from the car charger.

I'd hate to change to something else. I've even tried a couple of others (nokia something or other & viewty) but they're just not good enough.

And I missed an a780 on ebay for £50, damn!

    Default alternative to A780

Having now missed 2 A780's (used) on eBay I'm getting closer to looking for an alternative.
Is there one? I mean with, touch screen, qwerty, GPS, linux, hackable, customisable, proper headphone socket, mass storage, microSD, etc. and reasonably priced.

Anyone know which one Moto offer?
