Sync with Outlook results in incorrect times on phone

I have a Motorla a780 and when I sync with motorola phone tools (versions 3.23 - 5.??) the calendar will either show up with what appears to be random times in relation to the PC or the correct times but the alarm will go off at the wrong time.

Example 1: Event at 11:30 with alarm set to go off 30 minutes prior will alarm at 10:00 instead of 11:00. If I look at the event on the phone the alarm says 11:00 so why does it go off at 10?

Example 2: Some items transfer over with the correct time, but I have a few that will show up on the phone 1 hour earlier than the pc, others will show up 2 hours later than the PC. I can't figure out what makes one be wrong one way from another. Possibly because they are being sent from people who are in other time zones, which is very common for me, not sure.

I flashed the phone with the R52G0D.76.A1R0D firmware (and I seem to be stuck now cause the multiflashflex tool doesn't see my phone anymore.)

I have verified the phone time zone and city matches the PC time zone. Phone is GMT -08:00, city is Seattle. PC is GMT -08:00 Pacific Time. Phone is set to adjust all to daylight saving, so is PC and Outlook. I went through some troubleshooting with the BVPR help page with no success.

The main thing I wanted this phone for was a good calendar and it is totally confusing me why it can't just take what is in the calendar and put in on the phone without changing everything.

If I missed a forum post with the help for this I apologize, I've been working on this for about a week.

Also, using the same PC with the same software to sync a Motorola V3 razr phone the calendar goes on fine, but it is unusable since it only syncs the titles of the events but I need the description which the a780 has.
