Have you read Sticky section ?
i was one like you but...
after i read Sticky, it changed my life...
and my phone...
OK so ive been a member on this fourm for about a week now and i have been trying to figure out my problem for weeks. My problem is mulitple things. the first one is that even though i have tried many mpkg installers i still cant open the pkg file. when i tap on them nothing happens. when i tap open with nothing happens so bassically i cant run any mpkg/pkg files even though i have a linloader and a mpkg installer.
my next problem has to do with java files. my phone wont let them connect to the internet. when i try to run operamini i cant connect. i have all the right settings typed in and i can access the internet with the opera browser that is already on the phone.
Im sorry if these questions have already been answered but i have been searching the forums for a long time now and i have had no luck.
thank you in advance

Bri thank you for responding, i was starting to think no one would...
I have already looked at both threads, but unfortunately both of the threads did not help. i have already tried the Lin loader and the mpkg /pkg installer if you have any more idea or comments they would be greatly appreciated
thank you in advvance

hi
Have you checked that test.lin is working?
When the mpkg sticky dont help you have another two choices:
You can install mpkg/pkg by hand. It is a tar.gz only rename the extention. The application goes in this folder ".system/QTDownLoad/$app"(diska/diskb). After this you need to edit the ".system/java/PlugCardDB" for diskb or on diska "ezxlocal/download/appwrite/am/InstalledDB". Make backups before editing.
You can enable mpkg installer support for your mobile you need to make a partial flash with flashkit. Look for optimized setup or something similar. If you want to make your own configuration look for flexbit.

sorry for the wait i went out of town...
i searched the website for your request but i couldn't find any exact posts in the search. i would greatly appreciate if you could post a link to a specific post or thread. if you or anyone can link it i would be great help.
also if anyone has any links to a way so my java apps can connect to the internet that would be great... i searched the website but all the only helpful post requires you to have pkg/mpkg able to run

A) mpkg enable with flexbit (0xA2 - Qt application installer = mpkg)
flexbit and how to change
how to flash with flashkit
B) mpkg enable with optimized setup (should work never made this)
Enable hidden functions using optimized flex
C) Java apps (for A1200 is different so do):
You need to copy a permfile with right permissions to your java app folder. Take the permfile.txt from extreme snowboard game and try it.
/diska/.system/java/DownloadApps/MIDletXXXXX/permfile.txt
midlet permission

O.K., i could never figure out how to flash my phone, all the softwares i found would not connect even though my phone connects to things like moto phone tools... but now i am able to install the file because once i restart it the app is on the menu, but when i click on the app to open it afterwards the phone pulls up a arrow glass and then does nothing
i don't know what to do now, if you have any solution or advice i would greatly appreciate it...
