Copilot Live PC -> Copilot A780 Map download not working

Next week I'm going on a trip to Rome, so I tried to download the Italy Region to my microSD card.

I've tried several ways and alternatives (complete Italy region, rome and 50 km arround, and a Rome-Pompeii trip which includes round regions arround both places)

I've allways included my own region (spain)

No matter how I tried that, but on copilot phone there is no info about streets, only POI's are stored for Italian maps. The size of the complete Italian map is something like 177 Mb so I'm sure that the data has downloaded but the streets aren't visibe and not searchable.

It happened too to other people with Paris zone.

Do anybody has tried that with success?

You can only use your own region...if you go outside that it won't work...

Atleast that is what I understand from my copilot

Only thing you can do is the reset.lin file...which let's you choose a new region, but I think you can only use 1 region per reset...so either spain or italy

Then I dont know why Copilot manuals state that one can upload other regions..

Even more, I remember that I saw in the flash presentation of Copilot-a780 that I dowloaded at alk.eu.com that with the phone you had freedom to roam and travel arround regions. Even a screenshot of a travel withing several european contrys was displayed at the screen.

I feel more like this is a bug in the copilot software than a license stuff.

Licence needs to be activated, as waltervl says above, to get all European countries rather than your selected default!
