How about any IMEI code calculator for unlocking A780?
Or, any trick how to bypass code using bootloader?
(That blue screen you got pressing and holding camera and jog button)

Yes maybe you are right by using the bootloader.


There is a method that you can boot a kernel with bootloader by using a linux system. Befor you need a prepaired rootfs image on your transflash card. You can buy a new transflash make two partitions on it. Look for openmoko, angstrom images.

How to try OpenEZX on your A780


This way you can boot another Linux now you need only to find a way to mount the ezxlocal and change the password file.
Maybe someone can try this. I can't because my phone doesnt go into bootloader mode atm.

I think I may try this but honestly have no idea where to find a reliable kernel image for my A780, for a start.

Meanwhile, anyone experienced with PK2 Easy Tool 3.9 or MotoKit v1.06 maybe?

I've got an idea!!
How about some bit manipulation of seem offsets just to bypass somehow phone security check (to disable it!)? IT MUST BE POSSIBLE

Can't risk with flash (although, even cant find any working one with Mac) to loose all data. So how about just to turn off or on some bits thru seem edit (that works!) and avoid that UNLOCK CODE screen request. Logically it could be done, right? Then later I can access ezx_system.cfg and reset the code manually.

I'm sorry if my suggestion sounds silly, I'm a rookie here, just giving my best to get my phone back asap

It's all done with RadioComm v11.3.2 on XP as it is described here:

No data, programs, bookmarks, phonebook or calendar loss!
Just phone reset to the factory defaults.

Thanks everybody for your help, although I received some strange looks at local Beijing the main Motorola service after asking for official A780 seem edit map. No intentions for any industrial espionage activity! Just wanted my phone back
