Default SET GPRS status to not always online. can anyone help?

    hello,

i've tried that for the last days. but with no result.

i'm using the german FW. but in the past the CHINA MOBILE flash.

in this is an thing that i want to have in my german FW. the gprs symbol in the homescreen "G" is not colored if you are not online. you are the most time OFFLINE. in the german FW you're always online.
i think it could save standby time. and here i need help.

    1. i don't find this file or part that makes this difference.

    2. how to get it into the german FW.

    thx

I have a European A780, so I presume it's the same as yours.

I think the G simply means that you've enabled GPRS and not that you have a connection. Tap at the bar were the 'G' is put (and also you network connection, bluetooth, battery), you'll get a screen. In my phone GPRS is on, but below it says the GPRS connection is broken.

you are always online with the european FW. with the chinese the phone do first a data call or so when you check the mails or so. then the "G" symbol get colored with the euorpean not. i think the chinese is standadn offline. i have two phones with these firmwares and i can say that there ist a difference.

    i got it.

    go to seem 010a-0001

    set the follow:

offset 01, bit 1, set to OFF
offset 00, bit 0, set to ON
offset 00, bit 1, set to ON.

restart the phone an look. i think it gives some hours more standby time.
