  1. Default "Flash" button dimmed when I try PST

    Hi all --

Trying to upgrade FW on my A780 to the 0D.50AHP China Mobile firmware. Downloaded the files from the Dynu FTP site folder named "New BP Firm" and used winrar to take the multiple 2MB .rar files and consolidate them into one large .rar file. Extracted this and ended up with two files one ending in _1ff.shx (72,960kb) and the other _full.shx (154,201kb).

I already had PST installed with the drivers and the patch and it's connecting to my phone - since I can see the device listed in the bottom lefthand corner.

So I opened the Flash & Test Commands application of PST and pointed it to the _full.shx file.

But the "Flash" button remains dimmed. My initial guess is that perhaps the file is not being recognized as valid...?

I did find a flasherrorlog1.log file in the folder where the .SHX was residing, and it said:

Thanks in advance if you can lend a hand. I searched the board for hours last night to see if I could find any advice or more complete instructions on what to do in this case but could not find anything.

Are you using MultiFlashFlex.exe or PST.exe? Try using MultiFlashFlex.exe located in C:\Program Files\Motorola\PST. Here is a screenshot of mine:

You should be able to click on start to flash your phone.

Ah, definitely looks different than what I was using... I will look for Multiflash.exe.

    Thanks f0x0r!
