I also have the same problem my firmware is really old and buggy. Will you post your experiences in flashing your firmware. I have this problem about the calendar and frequent system slow down which I blame on buggy firmware. http://motorolafans.com/forums/showthread.php?t=4453

I would greatly appreciate if you share your experience on installing and using the new firmware noticeable improvements on the phone's stability and performance.

By the way if you are using gprs or edge backup your settings, (i'd do it the old fashion way and write it down on a piece of paper), since it might get wiped out when you install a new firmware. I had problems getting the settings from the phone company since they don't even know my phone exists.
