The maximum size of transflash cards that is currently (as of December 2007) supported by the A780 is 1GB. I tired to install a 2GB sandisk card but it was not recognised by the phone.
Hi all!
I tried to find this in the forums, but I just came across some threads discussing whether or not 4GB cards are or will be supported in the future.
So, what is the maximum size of transflash cards that is currently (as of December 2007) supported by the A780?
Which firmware version is needed for this max. capacity (and BTW, is R52G0D.76.A1R0D.C0 still the most current one?)
Also I did not find any complete and authoritative HOWTO's on
* backing up the original firmware before flashing
* flashing new firmware
* backing up all personal info on a regular basis
There *is* quite a lot of info on the forums, but this information it is scattered across many threads. Did anyone by chance put this together in one place somewhere?
(Not that all 3 topics must be in one place, of course
I'll be glad to add to this knowledge (I'm a long time Linux user) by providing/enhancing scripts for automatic backup etc. but I do not want to re-invent the wheel completely if at all possible, and I'm sure that quite a lot of people had to do exactly that...
I'll keep on searching & browsing, but I'm still grateful for any pointers)
Thanks in advance.
Greetings, cheers & nice holidays to all!
[EDIT#1]
I just found this:
http://www.troodon.org/a780/a780-linux-howto.htm
A good starter HOWTO, as it appears. Does not answer all my Qs, though![]()
