    Default A1200 or A780>??

    Hello all,
I was once a proud owner of A780, but recently was robbed at gun point, i no longer have my cherished A780 with me, and frankly speaking I see that there is no good phones in the market..that can match to the A780. To my a amaze, a store where I live still has a piece up for sale. But now some would say it's pointless to buy the same phone again, yet i verymuch feel like. Having heard and read a lot about A1200, i want some help in deciding.Being an Architect, the external keypad ws verymuch of help...which A1200 lacks..

Yet I would appreciate if u guys to take some time out and suggest me!
    thanking u guys in advance.

if you cant buy both of them, i would take the A780.
the A780 is better supported at the moment (from motofans)
and has a external keypad (what you like)
the only thing it misses is the FM-radio.
and it depends on the price.
if the A1200 is cheaper and money is a reason for you, take it.

My recommendation (if you are prepared to take a small risk and do some soldering) is to buy an A780 that works but has broken GPS and then buy a new flex and fit it. That way you pay very little for the phone - and you coukld buy an A1200 too

For me the keypad means the A780 wins - but it is big - if you can handle the size - get A780.

For me also it seems GSm will be supported with other Linux distros like OpenMoko for A780 sooner, so I bought that.

Just as an aside - While I fix my A780, I am using a Treo 650 - I don't know if I'll be able to give it up because it has a much better calendar than the A780 and a better keyboard (or, at least, a keypad you can use in all programs...). If you don't need GPS it is worth considering... You can even get Picsel for it.

    Happy Choice
