need help with the a780 settings

can anyone help me with the cingular att settings i have tried all the posted settings so far and i still cant get sms or mms to work though the browser is fine what could be the problem? i have a data plan and have tried numerous different posted settings. thanks in advance

Tell us about the problem:
-are there any errors?
-is phone looking busy?
Maybe you made a mistake- try to clear all and begin again.

Configuration might be tricky sometimes, but don't give up!

Solution from "matrax.net"- polish Motorola forum.

-Delete all (internet i mean) settings.
-Switch phone off, take battery out, and wait a thew minutes before switching phone on (hard boot).
-Enter the website of your carrier, and use auto configuration tool- if you can't find a780, select v600, c975 or other phone that may use simmilar settings.
-You will get browser message, select "upgrade".
-Reboot phone
