    Default GPS can't be enabled!

    Hello!

Navigation worked great with my A780 till the last week:
Usally I disable GPS by typing on the clock, and set AGPS to "disabled" - to safe battery life. Usally simply activating AGPS and starting Copilot leads to a working navigation...

But since last week, the menu to select AGPS "disabled" or "enabeled" is lost. I is still not there - you can only see a blank place next to "AGPS:".

Whats wrong? Is the GPS module crashed???

    Thanks!

    Richie

the GPS module itself is ok i think, but the flexcable between the mainboard and the flip can be broken.
if there is warranty on your A780 go to motorolaservice.
the second best way is fixing it by yourself, but this is a very complicated process, so motorolaservice is safer.

I remember that this was sometimes the case and I fixed this problem by rebooting my A780 - but now this doesn't work...

    Thanks

    Default Reason: disconnected cable

I had the same problem. When I attempt to enable the GPS through the options menu, the GPS title was there but the selection box (Enable/Disable) has gone missing. The problem was I dropped phone on the concrete floor and this disconnected the flex cable from the GPS module in the flip. The service fixed it by return.

Does anybody know the cheap service which could replace flex cable to fix GPS ? In UK, London would be best.
    Cheers
