Default E-Book reader...is there any available for this phone?

    Hi all

I happened to stumble on this forum a few days ago and just want to say i'm really impressed with the effort u guys have put in to unlock the potential of this phone. Good stuff!

Anyway back to my question..I've tried using the piscel viewer to read an ebook formatted to ms word but its just impossible to enjoy a book when the fonts are so small and when the jog button zooms in/out instead of scrolling down...has anyone come accross a decent reader? My previous phone was using mobipocket which was excellent...however i doubt they will ever release a version for this phone.

    Thanks again

Update..finally found one that actually works with this phone (one that doesn't fail at the install or crash upon launch)

    http://monket.samedi-studios.com/software/mbook-reader/

Its a GPL'd word-at-a-time speed reader for books on Java MIDP devices.

Except cos it displays a word at a time, it takes some getting use to

I am a fan of PLUCKER, however, this format is only supported by OPIE-READER running under OPIE, and thus quite a hassle to use.

I used a j2me software which was excellent on my Nokia but I found out it requires a keypad when trying it on an e680i.

I have been trying to crosscompile opie-reader for ezx so I could use the plucker pdb format, but no such luck so far.. anyone else had any luck reading this format on the a780?

You can try FBReader. Support fb2, plucker, palmDoc, text, html... I have build it for opie but have no time to port it to ezx.

After finishing the new SysEdit application which is very much awaited Will it be possible to you to port FBreader for EZX? I think many people would be very-very grateful.

I assumed you are a Linux user. Install qt development package from your distro and then run 'assistant'. I'm not advance c++ coder but qt make c++ come easy (more easy than pascal in delphi!).

Quad pack small game... (in Development Forum) included with source.
