GPS or not GPS... that is the question!

I bought my A780 via eBay and it came with manuals, CoPilot CD's etc and the seller assured me it is the GPS version.

After a few days of reading up on the A780 it seems like this phone has already been flashed at some point (since it's unlocked) but does not have CoPilot on it. I've also hunted high and low and can't find anything in settings about GPS, no little satellite dish icon (like in the manual), nothing. I'm hoping that it does have GPS but has non-GPS firmware in there.

Could someone maybe recommend a firmware which would work on this phone and does have CoPilot? I've seen various .74 firmware (which i've downloaded) but MultiFlashFlex seems to like giving me 'file not found' (the file is there!) or 'phone did not re-enumerate' errors and i'm left with a blue screen saying 'RDL is running...' then I have to turn off/on again.

So then i'm wondering if i've been sold a non-GPS A780 but with Euro manuals and CD's? But in the Internet settings of Opera it lists mainly all German providers. I added O2 and got the internet working ok.

Tried flashing it with little luck, my current firmware is:
R52_G_0D.50.AEP
BP: R52_G_0D.39.B1P
BPFLEX: GC0A780000SA061
DSP: 62252500

Does that reveal anything about the origins of the phone? I even tried a Master Reset but still the same settings and what-not.

Really all I want is a working CoPilot!

UPDATE:

Finally managed to flash my A780 (yay!), can only assume it was something to do with my Windows install, worked flawlessly on the XP machine in work (just don't tell them! )

My question now is: should my BPFLEX have changed? It's still the same. I notice PST has a Flex option (browse box and check box) should I flash the flex too? I used a *_full.shx file I kinda assumed it would have all I needed... ? The file I used was: R52_G_0D.74.A2R_0D.C0.B1P_SE6820AD3F1_L003_S008_P004_GCOA780000E1025_full.shx

Still no GPS icon even with this .74 firmware although it does now have CoPilot...

The firmware you use is from India.

I did Steps1-3 of the .61 firmware before upgrading to the .74 firmware but since my BPFLEX is .39 I think I should have also did Steps 4 & 5 for .61? I'll give it a try tonight in work. I'll try reflashing .61 completely (steps1-5) then reflash .74 to see if that'll change the BPFLEX.
