i don't know a way to store the messages on the transflash.
but you can store them to another folder (or a new created one) and they will go to the internal memory on your phone.
there will be a lot of space for messages![]()
Hi,
Could someone please tell me how to transfer text messages i receive - that automatically get stored on my SIM card - to the new 1GB Transflash card I inserted?
The Sim card only allows me to store 50 msgs on it and I want to save the important ones.
The phone detects the Transflash card is present;
When I connect the phone to my computer via USB, my computer shows the TransFlash card as a new drive with the letter F:
When I select a txt msg and try moving it to the TransFlash card, it only gives me the following destination folder options: Inbox, Outbox, SIM Card, Drafts, Sent Items, Trash.
Thanks in advance.

hi swifty,
this is a shot in the dark but i think if i move my txt msgs to the Trash folder, it goes from the sim card into the phone's internal memory... b/c i have more than 200 msgs in there and the phone doesnt prompt me saying the sim card is full.

only the option "SIM Card" stores the messages on the SIM. all others are stored in phone memory. and there is much more place as 200.Originally Posted by khawajasaheb
i have read from someone who has 30000 in there
plus you can create your own folder and you can password protect it.
well its so easy to create a folder and go to message setup and select the said folder....BTW if one wants to backup the messages then one need to use the BVRP software provided on the CD . here one can use the software to backup the messages on the PC ....but AFAIK you cant store your messages directly onto the card...

does anyone know what is max txt msg we can store in A780?
I had about 1000 in my inbox, 1000 in my sent folder and 100 scattered on other folders.
yesterday I didn't received any message until I checked my phone and it said msg full!!!
what the??
I don't even have any mms/email stored in my phone.
are all sms stored in phone memory? because I still have 23MB of free space for the phone.
does anyone able to store more?
i have read somewhere about 30000 messages stored in an A780.
you have only 3MB space in ezxlocal memory (thats where the messages are stored).
do you have a lot of contacts (more than 500) stored?
do you have any skins installed?
Hi swifty, I only have less than 100 contacts and with no skins installed, but I get the feeling that there is something wrong with this phone since few months ago.
it all started with the battery, it drains really fast.
used to be able to play mp3 for at least an hour, but now only 5 songs max / 3-4 phone calls only.
I have been looking through this forum about a lot of people also having the same problem about the battery, still no real solutions I think, except getting a new battery.
but right now I actually encounter a somewhat more annoying problem... I can't delete the msgs.
I've managed to delete 500 from inbox and only 200 from sent folder, but everytime I tried to delete the msg in sent folder again, it said "Failed to move to trash, permanently delete? Yes No".
no matter what I chose it end up the same, it's not deleting the msg.
and when I go in the folder again, it is empty but the number of msgs on the top right corner (the # which shows how many msgs in the folder) decreasing really fast.
I thought it was deleting all of the msgs, so I quickly press the back button. did the same thing again if I access the folder, so I restart the phone.
after rebooted everything looks normal, nothing has changed, but same thing happened again when I tried to delete the msg.
I think I've rebooted my phone for more than 30 times today, tried Master Reset also... no luck.
poor phone, working so hard today
does anyone ever have the same problem or has the answer for this other than flashing?
coz I dont think flashing is the solution for me right now as I'll be quite busy and I kinda forget the flashing process.
last time took me a few days of trial and error and downloading the right firmware.
any inputs would be very appreciated
can you take a look at your native.db (telnet or eKonsole)?
would be intressting how big it is.
but i suggest flashing is the best sollution![]()
just managed to telnet
native.db 3,301KB..... is that normal? coz you said we only have 3MBspace in ezxlocal memory, and that file alone is over 3MB
is there a way to fix this?
can I delete some of the msgs from telnet?
