No one? At least tell me to search if this has been talked before. To my search to this forum though, I didn't find anything about this.
thanks.
Hi all.
I'm thinking of purchasing E680i.
One question I have, is can you play NES/GB/GBC games without any frame drops, and with sound on?
I read SNES/SMS/Genesis/GBA is not smoothly playable with sound on. But I will be fine with NES/GB/GBC. Bring back the old memories.
Also How is the hand writing recognition is like? and can you read ebooks on it?(text or PDF file or converted.)
Thanks.

GB an GBC games are playable with sound off, as soon as you try to turn sound on it sucks. The hand writing recognition i can't say anything about that, never owned another device that has it. I think it's fairly good for reading ebooks too, the picsel program is quite good at that. It recognizes pdf and txt.
Yes, but does it run Linux?
SNES games play smoothly even with sound....

THERE ARE NO STUPID QUESTIONS... BUT THERE ARE A LOT OF INQUISITIVE IDIOTS...
Well, after trying them out all recently:
1) GBA games: Run very slow even without sound.
Sound is severely broken up when turned on.
2) GBC games: Run smoothly without sound.
Sound is very choppy when turned on.
3) SNES games using XSnes9x v1.0:
Run smoothly with sound on.
Sound plays smoothly as well.
2 and 3 are smooth and very playable, but they still drop frames.
Comparing to the same games running under emulators on
my computer, E680i runs them a somewhat slower.
How about *.nes files? Is it playable in E680i? Thanks
oh its called vnes.
