Mobile GMaps on A780

IS it possible to upload some maps on Memory Card and open it offline ? Without using gprs ?!

it's depent on MGMaps's owner. A780 doesn't use Java File API but use Motorola File API. that is a problem. A780 need a special port from normal java File API (JST75) to Motorola File API and need premfile.txt to got a permission too.

I wait for A780 offline version too.

eakrin, you are right. I looked at the code and there is no usage of the Motorole file API. So it is impossible to store data in the Memorycard.

BUT does motorola file API have the same class and function name like JSR75? Is it possible to change MGMaps source code from jsr75 to motorola file api and compile with a SDK 4.1?

Or how about writing a JSR75 wrapper over Motorola's proprietary file APIs and providing it to Cristian?

There's a MGMap version (link) which now supports viewing maps online as well as offline (cached). Am trying to get it up with external GPS over bluetooth. It already supports internal GPS I guess...
