    Default i760 Alert Timeout

I use Vibrate All for a ringer and use my calendar a lot. When appointments are close together, like an hour or less; and I don't acknowledge the first reminder by opening the cover, the second reminder is delayed, it seems for about an hour and a half after the first reminder. I assume Alert Timeout is what adjusts this, but I have it set for 15 minutes. It appears every time I have adjusted the Alert Timeout the time has just been added to the delay. If I try to reset defaults, I am asked for "Security" - 6 characters??? Any solutions to this alert problem?
