    Question A1600 charging/power issues (dead)

Hows it going? I'm about to purchase another phone (not motorola) since my motoming 2 will not turn on anymore. I've had the phone for about 5-6 months now and bought it unlocked brand new. I would always leave it on before going to sleep and would stay on until the next day. About a month ago however I left it on before going to sleep only to find it was off the next morning. I figured the battery might of died (was near fully charged the morning before) so I proceeded to charge it. 1, 2, 3 hours passed and the phone never powered on. I then thought the battery was bad so I purchased a new one which is not an original motorola. I charged the battery for about 40 min. and never powered on either. The only thing I noticed is the dim red light around the power button. One thing about this red light is that I never noticed it before when I had just bought the phone and would charge it. Later after a couple of charges is when I started noticing it. Anyone know what might be wrong with my phone or what the dim red light means? If I can't get it to work, it'll be the last time I purchase a motorola . Thanks in advance.

    Hello
I have saw this red light on my A1600 that means your battery is to low and phone can’t be started and boot.
Every time when I lose charge to much I can see this red light on button, anyway I love my A1600 and phone quality is perfect ,
I have test my phone with OEM Batteries and I can say just use original battery and charger for A1600 Because this phone have problem with non brands and high copy accessories
I guess you buy your phone from eBay our something like that and your accessories is not original
Can you take photo from your battery and charger?

    Question A1600 charging/power issues (dead)

I purchased ny phone off of unlockcell.com. It did come with the original acessories as they have the "motorola" hologram sticker. I too love(ed) this phone until it pretty much just went out on me for no apparent reason. I purchased the battery from aliexpress.com thinking it would be an original but it wasn't. I guess I'll go ahead and purchase an original motorola battery (BK60) as a final attempt. I'll post up pics of my phone and accessories tomorrow as I have to work in a bit (night shift). I really appreciate the info Yankee, thanks.

had same problem with my A1600. Happens when battery runs dry and it is not able to charge at all. Try charging battery in another device at least up to one bar. If my battery drains, i charge it in my father's L6. If you have the car charger, put it in there for a long journey and see it spurt back to life. In my phone, it happens even with new BK60 I've purchased. The car's charger works everytime.
