    I am having the same problem mounting my A1600 mass storage in Ubuntu Linux. However I did come across the following information regarding a recent addition to the linux kernel:

    [ubuntu/jaunty] linux 2.6.28-11.34 (Accepted)

    ...
    * USB: cdc-acm: add usb id for motomagx phones

    See the following urls:

    (linux source)
    https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/jaunty/...x/2.6.28-11.34

    I am guessing that the latest Ubuntu 9.x [Jaunty] distro should have this functionality in the kernel, but I have not tried it yet because I am currently using Ubuntu 8.04 LTS [Hardy] version.

    I am hoping that by having the kernel recognize this device's usb id, it will know that it is a mountable volume.

    Perhaps this is a good reason for me to finally upgrade.

    blacknight already said that he can use everything without problem on Vista that means he is telling about Motorola Phone Tools (Windows)

    but he needs solution to work on Linux (Ubuntu or Fedora)

    @blacknight
