I know it seems high. In the back of my mind I can not forget that I paid more than that for my Garmin 60CSX GPS. A linux computer with a GPS would be interesting to me with out the phone. Some people are writing some really good GPS apps for the iPhone maybe someone will do the same for the A1600.

Except the A1600 is built on a platform thats from the 18th century. FOr that kind of money, there are lots of choices in the market and the A1600 wouldn't be one of them for me.

I totally agree with you when you compare with other phones, but I like Linux and I have 4 non-Linux GPSs that I can not customize. Talk me out of buying... please!!
