I got newz that A1600 has been launched in India this month.

It's priced at 15000/- INR.

also it has maps of 30 indian cities and lifetime free GPS.

sounds good enough

Yeah got confirmation from main service center in delhi. it's already available i some leading stores.

Its now available in Wavetel Mobiles in Chennai. If I remember correctly it has a price tag of Rs.13,000 (as per news paper ads. might be some offer price not sure).

Have purchased this phone at Global access, Bangalore for 15,600 Rupees. Already facing problem with "Mass storage" USB mode, computer doesn't recognize the phone (memory card) as a storage device. Need to take it to service. otherwise it's a good phone.

Hey could you please tell us about the gps functionality? how good are the maps and does it really has maps of 30 Indian cities?
And also let us know the video recording quality???

Hi guys
i love motorola A1600 but i doubt whether it is made for chinese not for indians , will the chinese characters intrude everywhere, what about quality , can we operate without stylus ,please clarify it for me

Motonav is good & works fine on road, but if you are under concrete roof then GPS won't work, & speaks GPS signal is too low......
