Hi All,

Sharing some experience with you about video for MOTOMING A1200. Beleive me you will not need any other MEDIA PLAYER, because A1200 have RealPlayer with built in MP4 capabilities and high quality 3GPP too.

When I bought A1200 I was worried about RealPlayer's poor quality of video, which I tried with different Video convertors, but was not satisfied. Do you know why? I was trying to play all those 176x144 resolutions videos on Moto with 320x240 resolution. The videos seem blurred coz they were streched to bigger screen.

THIS MEANS MOTOMING HAVE REALLY GOOD QUALITY VIDEO PLAYER, BUT OUR ALREADY EXISITING OLD VIDEOS ARE NOT ENCODED WITH COMPATIBLE PARAMETERS. This is because we have been sharing videos made for low-res symbian mobiles till now.

NOW LETS MAKE OUR OWN FRESH VIDEOS OPTIMIZED FOR A1200.

Optimizing fresh video means you must have FRESH VIDEOS (mpeg or AVI or divx) extracted from your HANDYCAM / VIDEO CD / DVD, ETC.

TIPS FOR USERS WITH COMPLETELY NO TECHNICAL KNOWHOW OF VIDEO ENCODING (COMPRESSION) METHODS

Later while doing some workaround on videos, I realized that alongwith Mobile, I got Another CD with really a good Video Convertor called, "Moto EzX Video Producer" which is really a good convertor for RealPlayer in A1200 and similar models with 320x240 screens.
This convertor optimized my videos with really really good quality image and audio with 12FPS, which was not very smooth but still acceptable.

Moto EzX Video Producer (on CD) outputs good quality video with following parameters without any settings required to be done by us.

Output:
Filename: FILENAME.RM (playable in any version of RealPlayer)
Resolution: 320 x 240
Frames Per Second: 12 fps
BitRate: 256 kbps
Audio: 44 kbps
Result: Crystal Clear Image Quality Video with Clean Audio.

Above is FREE version from motorola but too big (35 MB) to upload here.

TIPS FOR ADVANCED (EXPERIENCED) USERS
=====================================

If you are not satisfied with 12FPS video, you can try encoding (compressing) with 15FPS which is little more smoother video, with following TIPS.

Use any FREEWARE or ADWARE Video convertor. I use shareware version of XILISOFT VIDEO CONVERTOR 3. Hello experienced people, you are experienced and you know what to do with shareware things to work beyond limitations. Dont ask me, how.

ENCODE your video with following options for Good quality Video for REALPLAYER on A1200 or any 340 x 240 resolutions models.

Video Parameters:
Select Output Profile (Format): 3GPP (3rd Generation Partnership Project) Video format
Select Video Codec: MPEG4
Select Video Resolution: 320 x 240
Select Video BitRate: 256 kpbs or 180 kbps or 120kbps. Larger the bitrate and FPS, better the quality but bigger file size.
Select FrameRate: 15 FPS

Audio Parameters:
Select Audio Codec: MPEG4AAC
Select Audio BitRate: 48 kbps
Select Channels: 1 (Mono) or 2 (Stereo)

Result Filename: FILENAME.3GP

This 3GP will play your video really excellent quality and no audio-sync errors.

Note: Every video have, more details or less in pictures and you can work-around with VIDEO BITRATE thing as shown above (256/180/120) for optimized result and no errors in RealPlayer.

Now all my family videos are more clear and smooth and I am happy and satisfied with Realplayer in my MotoMing.
Someone even asked me, "Dude! have you inserted SPIDERMAN 3 DVD inside your mobile phone? Is it playing it right now?" I just laughed.

I've benn using pocketDivxEncoder 0.3.60 with 22050Hz 64kbps Stereo for audio and i haven't any problems.

Man... i think you NEVER HEARD about the REAL VIDEO MARVEL for MING... The ZMPLAYER... it runs videos with 30 FPS 320x240... the highest quality movies and have support to subtitles... take a look at the forum and learn (like all of us learned) that REALPLAYER is CRAP!!!!

There are few people here who do nothing and only criticize. They even dont care about other people and contrinutors. All the information I put was for novice users who do not know how to install with MPKG or other third party softwares on MotoMing.

I think these are small kids, who do not read whole thing and start giving thier expert opinions. I still instist on using REALPLAYER than that worst beta version of ZMPLAYER which is buggy and hangs without any reason. I have installed and using that too.

And looks like these kids do not know that XILISOFT can encode video @30FPS at 320x240 which playes nice. I clearly mention in my post that Higher the bitrate and FPS, more will be the FILESIZE.

Looks like you have not encoded video with 29FPS in Xilisoft. Try it in RealPlayer, it *may* change your opinion.

Anyways it will be better if you try and then give opinion.

What you think is always not true. I of course know that real buggy crap called ZMPLAYER and it exists in my MING too. Its too buggy and non-userfrindly and yes (no touch screen compatible too). So I recommend and prefer RealPlayer.

And I think you never encoded Videos @30FPS in xilisoft @320x240FPS. Its pretty clear and smooth. First try and then give opinion.

Please note: Most part of my post is for Novice users who do not want to/cannot install ZMPLAYER.

In the forums I noticed many people are not giving detailed Tutorial Kind of information to Encode and Watch videos, like I tried to do in my post. It will be better you write a complete tutorial and post for all mankind. Thanks

Ok but i can encode videos using rmvb with bitrates smaller than most mp3 files out there. I like to use those settings:
vídeo 128 (average) -160 (maximun) kbps - 15fps
audio 20kbps high response

Most videos are ridiculously small and i can put a lot of those in my phone.

I know playing with higher fps in zmplayer have much smoother playback 15fps, but you cant say it's crap.
