quick answer, yes, but it depends on the type of headset.

BlueAnt has a stereo headset that can do this and it even has it on it's list of compatible products.

Remember that unless the Bluetooth headset (be it earpiece, or stereo headset) notes the A1200 as a compatible product then there is no guarantee that it will work with that headset.

Some people had luck getting a earpiece headset to play by pressing the VR button (with flip open) then closing the phone, ignoring the VR command and using the side buttons to open the menu and open Real Player. For some people it would play on the earpiece or headset and for some it wouldn't. I would say get a headset like BlueAnt or probably some Motorola brand (it might be compatible) that way you can use it for music and calls.
