Tell me, are you using Windows to transfer this files?!
I can't understand why (because it should be working) but Windows seems CRAPPY transferring files over USB even on 2.0 devices.
When I was installing MKEZX I had to partition and backup around 800MB of data from my TF, and I sincerely quit trying windows, it would go for hours. Well, the strange is, I booted a Knoppix CD and tried again, and it took a few minutes...

    Maybe its just me...

Windows here, but i guess that is a device problem, i tried the same card with my digital camera and went from 70 minutes with ming to 20 minutes with the camera.
But if u notice that in knoppix was faster maybe there is a way to speed it up

I believe the A1200 is USB 1.2 compliant.

The transfer rate is very low.

    USB 1.1, I beleive this...

Is better remove TF card and connect to cardreader to able transfer rate on USB 2.0.

i think its both sides... Windows really sux transfering files and Ming its slows since its 1.1 compliant if im not wrong...

if u want to back up large amount of data like 800MB or bigger, you better get a card reader USB 2.0
