touch screen problem

I have a problem with the touch screen of my phone. Most of the time nothing happens when i press on buttons on the screen..Sometimes the button gets pressed (the picture of the button changes) but nothing happens...I have tried all the firmware that i could get my hands on..

Does any anyone have any idea as to what might the problem be?

Have you tried calibrating the touch screen(if you can get that far its in the setup menu)

I had the same problem and I had to replace the screen. I got it from cnn.cn. Put the new screen in and you will be fine.

If sometimes you see that the button on screen changes pic for pressed button, this looks more like software problem. So before buying new touchscreen, I'd try flashing

Yes the pic changes..I tried all the firmwares that i could get my hands on...ever firmware had the same problem..

I too had this problem with ming .08p .

but this problem started second day itself , I got a new set replaced.

My prolem was Some times touch screen works great . and some times it doesnt respond or it was behaving erroneously . I took it to customer care and they opened and verified that it is a defectve touch screen(initially customer care also thouight that it is a software problem) .hence i got it replaced .
