ya thanks for the speedy reply

btw ya i did read the post about openmoko and red their links.

i am confused as some people say it mighted be ported for open ezx phones like our ming.

but the funny thing is that open moko supports features like multi touch and all.

and as we know our a1200 hardware dun support that do u think it can get ported to a1200?? or if it is ported -(minus) the features that are not supported by our phones hardware what boost will it give to us as end users as compared to the current os we use on our phone?

    heheh,

dam i think i am asking too much questions :P

The Neo 1973 phone with OpenMoko doesn't have multi touchscreen either but much higher resolution than A1200.

Of course features will be limited to A1200 hardware support. Neo 1973 doesn't have a camera, for camera use on A1200 there is an extra application needed. I think, the first relaeses of OpenMoko for A1200 (if it will be available anyhow) will not have that.

Also it's not clear if the phone funktion of A1200 can be supported because of different hardware and needed drivers for it (most drivers for GSM chips are not open)!

Most important advantage is the opensource concept of OpenMoko! So it's possible to create any application for it.
