Default bugs!!!!!!!! Call history and battery info

    Hi all,
you might have faced this problem.
Please advice me with the solution if you have any.

    Problem1:
If we call a particular number more than once in a day. And if we want to see the call history for that particular number. Ming is not supporting that feature.

    Problem2:
Some times the battery info is showing wrong value.
It always shows 100% till it reaches to 50%. And then if the chanrging goes down to 50% it suddenly shows 50%.

Suggest me with the corrections and suggestions.

    .

No Ming does not support that feature - and there is no way to fix it unfortunately.

The battery gauge does NOT shows the percentage of charge left on the battery (as one would expect) but the percentage left from the last time you charged it!!! In other words, if you charge your phone for 5 minutes, then when you unplug it the gauge will show 100% as it has 100% of whatever it took in for that 5 min, but the battery may still only be quarter charged! It is not until you plug the phone into the charger that the gauge will show the real total charge left. (e.g it may show it has 50% of the last charge left, but when you plug it in it may drop to 5%). Seems stupid doesn't it!! You have to leave the phone charging until you get the message "Charging complete" before you get a reliable reading of the total charge remaining - and avoid charging it for short periods!

Any reason why on earth motorola would have such a dumb battery display? Might as well not even display the battery indicator if it doesn't refresh itself! Is there a hack to get around this and get a real time indication?

    Kiwiguy,
I have not seen the "charging complete" message after the first time i charged my phone Everytime the phone is charging, the battery icon blinks and the battery side of it heats up. I switch off the charging whenever the icon stops blinking and the phone cools down.

Am i switching off the charger before the charge is complete
Can you confirm that you get this message everytime your charging completes?
How long does this message stay?

I charged my phone again tonight - and got the message. If you turn your phone off and then plug it into the charger it appears to turn on - but is in a special charging mode (None of the menu items work). When charging is complete the words "Charging Complete" appear in large letters on the middle of the screen (and stay there). If you unplug the charger then the phone shuts down.

If you have the phone on when you plug in the charger, then these words do not appear. The only indication that charging is complete is that the battery icon stops flashing and if you tap on the icon (while charger still plugged in) then will show at 100%.

I found another explanation for the battery issue in another thead here:

I personally believe the reasoning is lazy coders who don't want to or don't pay attention to the differences in nicad and li-ion batteries. The nicads dropped voltage at a pretty consistent clip when the battery was draining and thus the phone sees x volts out of y total and figures out what percentage is left. Li-ion batteries stay at a pretty constant voltage until they are almost dead, so the battery meter doesn't even know the battery is dying until 3/4 of it is gone already.
