Can A1200 support 2GB mircoSD? The official site says the upper limit is 1GB, but I note from a page here that it can support up to 2GB.

Yes, you can use a 2GB Micro SD Card but remember to get a SANDISK one, cose its more compatible than the other ones like Kingstons. Byebye

I bought a SANDISK 2 GB card over the weekend (US $45), popped it in and it worked fine in my A1200. I then copied all the files from my old SD card to it and all my apps work without any problems at all.

Whether it works may depend on the version of firmware?? I have .08 plus.

Yeah I think so. Maybe the firmware is really important. Im using an A1200i with 0FR original firmware

MotoMing: Any place who gives u a Sandisk cheaper its good. In Motorola we recomend Sandisk cose we manufacture the phones just to use them with this cards. The other brands are not the same (dif speed and compatibility).
In Argentina i got 1GB mem card Sandisk for U$25 really cheap now The Kingstons are only U$20 but we have issues with our phones and that memcard of 1Gb and 2Gb... beleave me just use Sandisk Mine is working sweet, maybe in the future i buy one of 2Gb, i dont need it now. Byebye

It works, but I don't think it's worth it yet. The price per MB is 2x higher than a 1 GB one.

Wonder if the 4 GB cards work. Don't think so, because of the file system, but who knows.
