Question: How to save my SMS and MMS ?

Hello,

I'm gonna , in few minutes flash my ming and I would like to know how can I save my SMS and MMS on my Computer . Because I saved all my songs, photos, clandar , contacts, but not the SMS.

How can I take it ?

I would like to know that too. I could copy all msgs to the SIM card and then copy back to the phone but i guess they are too much for the SIM card (400+ messages)

Save SMS and MMS msgs

1. Connect the A1200 to your PC
2. Execute Motorola Phone Tools
3. Press F4 or click on the screen phone joystick and Select RECEIVE > INBOX
4. Press SEND / RECIEVE SMS

You can WRITE them down in your notebook... ha ha ha....

You can use Earkins Backup/Restore, it saves all phone caontacts, SMS and e-mails, I'm not sure about mms on your memeory card.

Does the sms messages in main.db including both "sent SMS" (i.e. outgoing messages) and "received SMS"?

yes main.db file is a database file which contains much more things including
incoming/outgoing SMS
