chwxk your service center number in you sms setting.
Can someone tell me what they have checked for their sms/mms settings? I can receive sms/mms messages, but I can't send anything out at all. When ever I do, I get a message that says "Fail to send to **********, resend?" I think that I might have changed one of the options in the settings portion when you go into the mail folder. If someone can help me out, it would greatly be appreciated. TIA
chwxk your service center number in you sms setting.
Problem solved! Thanks!
Sorry for bumping up, but how did you solve the problem??
Even i get the "Fail to send to ****, resend?" a lot, especially when sending a sms to multiple contacts.
However im able to send messages on other occasions, so im guessing it shouldn't be a 'server center number' issue..
Any ideas anyone?
Solved by going to messages > service setup > short messge.. Then changing the service centre number - this should be given by your service provider (if not already pre-loaded on your SIM).
I receive notification of recieving an MMS but I can't access/open it.
I had this working the other day but as I had to master reset and clear my phone due to another issue, it is no longer activated.
Stupidly I now can't remember what i initially did to recieve MMS on my phone. Any assistance anyone?
@sleepy rohan: it could still be a service center number problem. Maybe that's a secondary number used by your provider (which could occasionally work, but mostly fail). Anyway, you could contact the provider and verify it nevertheless..
@bobo: Again, seems like a provider option. What exact error are you getting when you try to open it?
Thankyou xetaman
As the exact phone I'm using is not sold in Australia, my provider does not have access to the specifics of this model. They have directed me to possible links through email, which I'm trying to get my head around. It's a trial and error process.
The exact error is that the phone fails to download received MMS files. It does not send MMS either. Still some tweaking to do but hopefully i'll sort this out in the next few days and then update through here for others.
Even if they don't support the phone, I'm sure they can manually insert the settings. A friend of mine had some phone from the UK that wasn't supported, but the one assistant at one of our service providers put the settings in herself and had it working (well, wap at least; can't remember about mms).
Maybe you can try if you are in Australia:
https://motorolasetup.tarsin.com/hom..._AU&country=AU
select your model (i,e,r) and motorola setup send you the setting.
