Default UPD minor release of smb (samba) v1_3

    Dear all,

please find a new version of samba daemon for the phone. Now there is an popup window to indicate the launch and shutdown of the application.

    Enjoy

UPDATE: new version v1.3 that covers:
    - make the script generic (reuse smbd sshd)
    - removal of stalled pid files in /var/run
    - safetynet to create pid file in case the daemon does not handle it right
    Attached Files Attached Files

It is a dangerous application that let you easily see and modify files you can't see in USB Storage mode.

    Now seriously.
It is a file system server that uses the same protocol as Windows Systems.

In other words, if you have USBLan (also known as usbnet) setup correctly then you can use Windows Explorer to connect to it. This is the same way you use Windows Explorer to connect to other computers sharing files in a local network and see all the file system (some file systems are locked and you can't write to then).

(in Windows Explorer use \\192.168.16.2\system in the address bar or open startmenu -> run.... and type \\192.168.16.2\system - the IP Address depends on which USBLan driver you have installed in your windows and how you setup it).

It will not allow us to delete system files because they are read only.

    All,

please note at the start of the topic the new release that solves among other issues the clean start stop process that enables clean cycling between launch/shutdown of samba
