ZIP program for A1200 ??????

Sometime, you copy a zip file to the TF, then you cannot unzip. I wonder if there is a software for A1200 to uzip files in the fone.
I have tried a zip program for E680, but is is not working for A1200. could Any one help me to find that software. ?

Benq-siemen's native system does unzip files without problems... i've got an EL71, a very sloooooooooooooooooow phone, but with an excellent media player with many formats support, and THAT SHIT UNZIP FILES...
Why doesn't my a1200?????

I'm removing the files to not confuse users. Because there is other tool that has exactly the same thing and is more actively maintained.

I don't know why you want this.
Everytime I want to compress a file or a directory, it is to export to a PC.
So I copy uncompressed to the PC and compress in the PC.
It is faster to compress on the PC.

Anyway, I made this little program that you can use to GZIP and TAR.GZIP files.

Unzip and and install the TWO packages.

DIRTGZ - TAR and then GZIP a directory
1 - In the file manager, enter the directory you want to compress
2 - long-tap a file to open the menu (it has to be a file to open the menu)
3 - select "Open With"
4 - select the dirtgz program
5 - tap ok.
6 - you will hear a sound when the phone finishes

the compressed .tar.gz file will be placed on the directory containing the directory that was compressed.


TGZ ----- GZIP a file
1 - In the file manager long-tap a file you want to compress
2 - select "Open With"
3 - select the tgz program
4 - tap ok.
5 - you will hear a sound when the phone finishes

the compressed .gz file will be placed on the directory containing the file that was compressed.

TGZ ----- Unpack a .tar.gz or a .gz
1 - In the file manager long-tap the ".tar.gz" or ".gz" file to open the menu
2 - select "Open With"
3 - select the tgz program and mark Always use the program to open this file type.
4 - you will hear a sound when the phone finishes

Next time just tap the archive.

The archive will be opened in the directory containing the archive.

Do you know, when checking mail from A1200, I have a inconvenience situation: attached files (word, excel, pdf...) is often in zip type ( People in my area may like to zip files before sending ). Then i have to tranfer to PC to read, Now with your software I can read directly on my MING.

Ok. if you really need ZIP and UNZIP here they are.
As always DIRZIP will compress the directory containing the file you've selected.
ZIP will compress the file you've selected unless it is:
*.gz
*.tar.gz
*.zip

in that case, it will uncompress the file.
