Hi Kris,
.pkg files are the packaged files which can be installed using the MPKG installer(Just like RPM's in Linux).
.lin files are the shell scripts which are executed within the shell.(.sh files in linux.)
Folks,
We are discussing abt .pkg file installations and .lin file installations.
Can anyone pls tell me what the extentions denote?
Are they similar to tar files in linux or any other special files.
Thanks,
