    Default Side Buttons of MING

hi, i'm encountering this problem with my MING...
i find that the side buttons are kind of "rusting"
it's got some black dots and stuff...

i wonder if it's rusting or wear and tear...
anyone else got the same problem as me ?

I think this is just the wearing of the plating of the button. Its not made of iron for it to rust.

It's not "rust". It's the black plastic under the thin chrome paint on the buttons.

My side buttons are fine, the joystick is completely black on my phone (the paint chipped off in a big chunk, then I scraped the rest off with a thumbnail).

It's wear and tear, in combination with the acidity of your sweat. Some people have more acidic sweat than others, and that will eat away the paint.

BTW, it's not plating, which is done through an electronic bonding process and lasts much longer, it's just plain chrome/silver colored paint.

Maybe you got a lot of uric acid in your sweat! :P

Serious, wash your hands often (even if they are clean) and watch for alergic reations on your wrist (if you wear a metal watch), or in any other part of your body that may be in contact with a metal alloy. Don't worry, that's common. But if you feel pain or major discomfort, go to a doctor! Extreme cases of uric acid may lead to a disease called gout.

The acid in your sweat may react with the metal... that's what may have happend to the buttons.

But there's a great chance that the buttons were made with defective material.

    See ya!

Dont feel bad my buttons are as black as night hahaha But i think its because i didnt have a protective case for the first couple of months of ownership.. so i payed the price.. But ever since i been using a leather case my phone has retained its condition.
