Q: how can I unlock A1200I?

Hey folks next month ill travel to Spain and i want to take my device with me but my provider SIM LOCKED the phone (A1200i)...
First i went to the Attention Center to have my device unlocked... /they cant do that..., then i tried the Motorola Service... same thing... /they cant do that...
So im asking here if theres a way to do that... i have read that i cant flash my phone cuz it can be broken...

help guys

hello, making chorus to Hidr0 I also need to unlock my a1200i, but dont want to loose the RV in portuguese, my case. Thank u all for any help.

Hello guys. I own a A1200(i) as well. I think the only way to unlock it right now its reflashing the phone but with firmware 0FR, like Alpha said, its strongly recomended not do it cose this one its the only original firmware for this phones. Some people have tried to do it and end it up with a non working Ming.

Think that u should do like me, and wait until any new firmware come for this phones... OOOORRR a way to make a backup of my firmware so i can send it to u (mine its unlock 0FR).

Good luck, and remember, to unlock the phone in the legal way you have to go to the original carrier (thats the only way) and make noise there until they give it to you byebye

@ Antares: thats the puto problem i went to my carrier and ask for the unlock code or whaterver they call it... they simply refuse to unlock my device not even paying them for it.... I also went to the Motorola Service Center, they also refuse to do it!...
Its so annoying... last time i buy a device from a carrier...

I have been away from flash files following Alpha's advice... i guess ill have to sell this device and get another one unlocked

Mmmm dont sell it please, fight the system. Let me give u an advice behind the carpet (in english and in spanish). The carrier its the only one who can unlock it legaly so PUSH THEM PUSH THEM until they do it (that means call them ask for supervisors, say that u gonna resign the contract with them if they dont give it to u, anything... they can so PUSH THEM) Now in spanish.

Yo trabajo para Motorola US y he llegado a discutir con un provedor yanqui que DEJE de mandar a la gente a Motorola porque en Motorola no se lo desbloqueamos, y el tipo me dijo: -eso es lo que mi supervisor me dice que haga... ENTONCES DAME CON TU SUPERVISOR. Y ahi explicales q es un celular q vos pagaste y si lo queres desbloquear no les pertenece a ellos y "rompele bien las bolas" hasta que te acepten desbloquearlo (darte el codigo de subsidio). Te deseo suerte y cualquier cosa hablamos x aca. Byebye

Muchas gracias por tu ayuda Antares... pero si tu trabajas para Moto no podrias tu ayudarme con lo del codigo?... que necesitas el IMEI?

No, pasa q justamente con el IMEI te puedo decir de donde viene y para q compañia fue fabricado... todos los datos pero no sale el Subsidy Code. No tenemos acceso en Moto a esos codigos. No es que cuando llamaste a Motorola no te quisieron ayudar, es que verdaderamente no los tenemos. Solo el proveedor los tiene. Por eso si queres me mandas un mail con el IMEI y capaz te ecuentro de donde viene y para q carrier es a ver si es el mismo al q llamas vos.
Ademas charlandolo aqui en el foro encontramos q Motorola US es diferente a Motorola China, y Motorola Latinoamerica.

Are u gonna send me the IMEI? at least post it here, so i can look in the Motorola System what we know about your phone. Post it and in no more than 1 or 2 days and gonna send u all the info we have.
The other option its to changer the firmware and pray dont break the phone
