    Default charging fone using USB cable

    Hi.

    i hv a problem.
    I dont have admin rights @ my office PC so whenever i plugin the USB cable it tries to install the drivers and fails.i just want to charge my fone.

    is there any way around ??

    You do not need drivers to charge your phone. As soon as you plug it in, 5v is being put out on the USB cable, so it is charging it regardless of whether you have admin rights.


    don't worry, it's charging it whether you know it or not, as long as it's plugged in correctly.

    This is ASSUMING our phone charges with USB... I am taking your word for it.

    But I know for a fact, USB puts out 5v and ground on 2 of the pins without any problems, look at the USB lights, or USB fans, they don't have any drivers, but they work just by plugging them in.

    you don't have to install any drivers to charge your Phone. just plug it in to an open usb port and click on your status bar (on the ming) you will see that it is charging

    try this

    Go to menu > setup > USB Mode >
    and change to Modem
    if not then try mass storage
