Will Edge on my Ming cost me extra $?

Hi I saw the new post regarding edge on the ming, If i enable it, will i be charged extra? I have Cingular in North America. If I enable edge, but don't do any browsing, will i get charged also? Thanks all! And i'm glad the forums are back up!

No, EDGE is just an improvement over GPRS, its just faster browsing speeds.

Just make sure you have an unlimited data plan.. or media net for cingular should be fine i believe.

Not at all.. Its just a speed boost. But it doesnt effect your data plan or even if you dont have one.

I dont think you would be charged. As long as your not sending and receiving bytes through the phone you should be okay. click on the main bar and see if you bytes has changed if not you shouldnt be expecting any charges.
