Default SMS (txt msg) Deletion Speed

Has anybody else noticed that deleting SMS 'text messages' take about 1-2 seconds per message to "delete" which sends them to trash--which then you delete permanently?
Is there a quicker way or any sort of auto-cleanup seem edits that could help in this department?

Thanks in advance for any help rendered!

i feel your pain, i got 400 sms, i try to delete them and it takes forever.

because they will move them to trash bin , moving is slower than deleting.

i hope there is a way to delete them immediately rather than moving them to trash bin, just like outlook.

Dont know about the demands above but there is a jar file that allows you to ''send'' messages without saving a copy in sent items folder.

    Hope it helps.

    Attached file.

This is kind of what i do:

Stash up on the messages till you get bugged. About 1000 or so. Backup your contact/calendar, and then do a master clear. Poof!

try deleting them while the phone is attached with charger and it's charging thus the processor works on full efficiency n sms gets deleted easily with high speed as compared to previous speed
