Does anyone use the USB port on A1200 w/ other earpieces?

Does anyone use the built-in mini-USB connector for earpieces?

Instead of the Handsfree in the 2.5mm headset jack?

To listen to music or to talk?

Any difference?

heh funny you mention this. I actually tried my maxx headphones on the phone and they do indeed work... But mini-usb headphones sound inferior to 2.5mm jacks. The bass is less, and just doesnt sound as good.

I suggest you stay with 2.5mm headphones or A2DP headphones. And of course you can get 2.5mm to 3.5mm jack for the best sound.
