Maybe instead of tapping the folder icon in step 8, you may have to tap menu to open a new profile. All the settings are exactly the settings I have on my phone and everything works.6. Tap the messaging icon at the top of the screen (envelope).
7. Tap menu on the bottom left corner, then tap Service Setup, and then Multimedia Message.
8. Tap the folder icon under Default Profile.
Let me know if it works. If this is not the case, then I really am not sure. Sorry. I hope some one else can maybe figure that out.

I have a couple of questions.
I was actually able to get this to work and it seems that the built it browser works fine with www.com sites. I tried to use that same Data Network to connect Opera Mini to a site and it wont work with it. Opera Mini WILL work with the normal T-zones settings that were sent to my phone though. Is this normal? If I don't use the settings you put, will I be billed for going through the websites like that? Does T-mobile ever bill anyone that has used this method to go around their limitations? Also, is there any chance that they will charge per kilobyte even if I load a huge site? I signed up for their 5.99 T-zones plan and am hoping I don't end up with a massive bill.
i've had t-zones up and running since sept and have been browsing the net w/ opera mini and the preloaded opera browser. only been charged the 5.99/month for all the net browsing and email i can handle.
i had the pix message settings in the phone, but i could only send them not receive them. i just checked when following the instructions here and saw that i had an option checked off that would reject messages bigger than 0K, so hopefully i can get pix messages now.....
is there a setting for the SMS to be free like the MMS is? if so could someone please post it? From what I see the settings for the MMS makes it so your account isn't charged for the picture and multimedia sending, right? So if there is one for SMS I wouldn't have to pay for messaging right?
Also, has anyone with that 5.99 T-mobile plan also tried that modem setting? Supposedly when you set up the modem and the dial number to *99**# or something like that you can use the phone as a modem for a laptop or computer. Don't know if its free or not, but no one has posted anything on it. Anyone doing this and not getting charged for it?
Phenomenon,
Could you explain more about free MMS? I think what you said is true!
I send/received about 5 MMS last month when I was testing my phone's configuration, and it appears T-Mobile didn't charge me for them.
I believe the trick here is sending/receiving MMS via wap, but can't pin point the exact rule behind what setting will give us free MMS and what other settings will make T-Mobile charge us for MMS
well, I don't exactly know about it. The OP should know if Im right.
1. If you want to use Opera Mini, you need to change the setting for port from 9201 to 8080
2. Somehow, I was able to serve both wap sites and www sites with my build in Opera as well as Opera Mini
3. Opera Mini compacts the webpages and load a lot faster than Opera, however, some sites I can only open using build in Opera but not Opera Mini
4. Also, you can change encoding inside build in Opera but not in Opera Mini
