HELP!!! Need help unlocking phone when flipped closed!

When my a1200 is closed, I get a message that says "please input lock code in flip open mode". The manual tells me to press any of the phone keys simultaneously within 4 seconds when open to unlock. Is there a trick to doing this or am I doing something wrong? I flip open the phone and hit the volume up button and the volume down buttom fast and within 4 seconds. This does nothing for unlocking the buttons when the phone is closed. HELP!!!

lol, holy crap man relax. you're jus not reading properly. you're supposed to press the SAME button twice. jus press it twice casually. no speed test or anything. when the flip is closed, press ANY button twice and it will unlock.

feel a tad bit silly now? meh, we've all been there. ^^
don't get so ecited over things and miss the whole point of what the manual was telling you to do.

but if its telling you to actually put data in to unlock the code, put this in: 000000 (that's 6 zer's..) its either 6 or 5 of them.

Sounds like he's having a different issue though. If it says to input an unlock code, it sounds like he's got some kind of keypad lock code or security lock in the phone turned on that he needs to turn off.

The message he should see is "Press key again to unlock"

If it's telling him to open the flip and punch in a code, that sounds like a different issue. . . . I think. I'm no expert
