I dont think they are much different software wise, same GUI, real player, heck they even have the same stylus. But im a fan of clamshell cellphones. So ming for me.
I have a Ming, but I keep hearing about the E6 everywhere. So lets bring it down to it, whats better? Ming? or E6? (Also, don't forget 'why' its better)

Well the choice is easy for me, its the one that i have now: so long live the Ming lol![]()
Yes i agree.. Its about form factor for me. Both have almost the same specs except for some things such as..
E6 has
352 × 288 video recording
And 3.5mm jack with external side music keys.
Uses Standard SD cards
both are nice phones. I have played with both. So you cant go wrong with either one.
Ill quote a what one member said over at the E6 section..
"A1200 - Business oriented form factor. "Classier" and sophisticated
E690 - Multimedia oriented. "Cooler" "

you've used both phones before...lets say you had to choose ONE phone to use. which would you decide to pick? Based on useability, speed of system (i.e menu's, mhz, etc), connectability, specs, features, etc...?Originally Posted by Alpha43
I only posted this thread out of curiosity, but now I'm wondering if I should actually sell my red Ming for the ROKR E6.
I got this ming for 400$ CDA and the E6 is going for about 480$ CDA. Is there a reason for this price difference? Didn both these phones come out around the same time (within a few months distance) in 2006?
does the E6 have edge? it probably doesn't have WIFI though, lol. Too bad...that would have been the instant choice maker. lol
The firmware seems like the exact same as the MING, so i guess you could run any of these FW's on the MING with the E6? like 08+ and etc...
your thoughts? (as someone who's been there, done that)
Actually the ming has been out for about a year now. The E6 was just released.. So at the time the ming was way ahead of its time, Heres how i look at it... If you already own a ming stay with it.. IF you never owned either one and dont mind a candybar style phone then go with the E6. Speed wise they are about the same. Same processor i believe, and yea.. besides those few differences thats about it..
If you think its worth it then buy it.. But really its just about the same phone with minor enhancements.

ah, then i guess I'll stick with my ming. i like the smoth finish on the whole phone though. ^^ err, on the mind, not the e6, dunno how that feels. lol.
I'll have to see which one I like more once I get my E6 this week. Knowing my I'll keep both.......![]()
