Default Porblem connecting A1200 to pc via usb cable

    Hi folks,

I have a problem where my phone cannot connect to pc via usb cable. I already set the usb mode as mass storage and the micro sd card is already inside the phone. my pc is using windows xp. do i need to install the driver first before windows can detect my phone. if yes, where can i get the driver since the cd that comes when i bought the phone does not has any driver.

    Please help. tq

There's no need to install drivers for WinXP.
When you connect you ming to the computer, does a popup come up on the screen? If so, try to change the usb mode to modem and, after that, back to mass storage.

    Default cable

Sounds like you have a bad usb cable if you have freind that have's one try theirs. I had this same problem I thought the phone was bad but it was the cable. I bought one from circuit city it came with drivers to install and never had a problem. some of the cable's from ebay and other bootleg places don't work i went threw 3 cables before i finally went to circuit city and spent 30.00 and got a working cord. hey you can always take it back to circuit city the other places you can't.

Right, kdubbs, that might be the case.
I've suggested to change usb mode 'cause that problem happened to me once or twice.
