How to install pkg files when i have installed MPKG program?

for me detail how to install pkg files when i have installed MPKG and its icon is display on menu!

click the pkg file with several seconds keep,then a menu will appear,to select "open with..." -> MPKG

I didn't realize that you could do that "Open With" thing, so I thought that this would solve it for me as well, but alas, it doesn't seem to work. I get the "Open With..." dialog, but I do not ever see it actually install or unpack anything. It just goes right back to the file manager.

I am running 08p, or whatever that one is, I just got the phone two days ago, and flashed it this evening. Any idea what could be wrong?

I don't have to do this at all, I just select the pkg file wait a few seconds then my phone makes a funny noise and then I reboot my phone and the app is installed, took me awhile to figure out that i had to reboot the phone though.

I'm not 100% sure but I think mpkg needs linloader to work, and if so then you need to install it a little different it would seem for .08, read this thread http://www.motorolafans.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=7776, I think the 3rd or 4th post explains how he got it working.

I appreciate the help. However, linloader requires installation before it will work, and it won't install or unpack linloader in the first place. I go to "open with" then select MPKG, but nothing happens. It never beeps, or anything, it just sits at the file manager screen.

Just an update for people who may be having the same problem:

PUT THE PKG FILES ON THE PHONE, AND NOT ON THE MEMORY CARD. When it was on the memory card I was having the issue; upon transferring it to the phone itself, it worked just as advertised. Hope this helps!
