Hi, my headunit's BT feature is always on. I was given advice to put the ming in discoverable mode and let the headunit find and bond with it. i have the default code entered for bonding.
When I had my Blackberry 7100t, it would automatically pick up the blackberry once it was anywhere near my running car.
I have return to the store two BT hear pieces, before I got one, that would connect to my A1200...(Discovery 640), is not necessarily the connection ?!
What BT model set, you got ?

Bluetooth headsets are fine. It is my Pioneer 980BT headunit in my car.
Unfortunately, once the phone loses the connection to the headset (or your Pioneer unit) you have to make the phone discoverable again. I believe all Motorola phones are like that, it's a very annoying feature that Motorola has included in their phones.
i have the same problem with the head unit and not the phone. i just bought the pioneer myself. awesome radio,, there has to be a setting that allows the bluetooth to be on constantly. i' m somehow missing it.
Its a shame it doesnt work my car. My car picks it up fine but the only thing i would like is the phonebook to be displayed.

samkatta - I just switched to an A1200 from a MotoPEBL, and I had no problem with my headset being found again after it was disconnected.
I'm having this same issue, by the way, but I wonder whether it's a bug, since other Moto's don't always seem to do it.
